Driving home tonight down Westbury Road, I noticed an urban fox that had sadly met an untimely end with a car at the junction with Northover Road.
According to one source most foxes killed by traffic are one year old or younger. Of the 5-6 cubs born to the average litter, 2-3 survive infancy.
