Badger

Young Eurasian Badger (Meles Meles)Image via WikipediaWas it a fat cat?

It was certainly not a fox (too low and with no bushy tail).

Finally, I twigged. It was a badger running at some speed across Trym Road and then up across Church Road (in front of the Villager Restaurant) this evening about 10.00 pm.

It was the first time I had seen a badger in the village itself - as opposed to in a garden or on the golf course.

I wonder if this represents a new trend in the human-wildlife balance in Westbury.

Are urban badgers going to become the new foxes?
