BBC One's popular Songs of Praise programme will be filmed at a Westbury church this autumn.
St Alban's Church in Westbury Park is the venue for the two-part recording which will take place on October 18th and 19th and be broadcast in the run-up to Christmas and in March 2013.
Local professional composer and conductor David Ogden will direct the event. Alongside his many national projects, David also conducts the City of Bristol Choir and is musical director at Westbury on Trym Parish Church.

A combined choir is being put together for the event, and it is hoped that the recordings will draw in a range of local participants from various churches in the city.
In 2009, St Alban's Church hosted an earlier episode of Songs of Praise. The BBC series celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2011. It is the longest-running religious TV programme in the world.
